Restorative & Cosmetic Dentistry

Crowns, bridges, veneers and bonding to repair damaged teeth or improve how your smile looks.

A cracked tooth, an old filling that keeps breaking, a front tooth that has never sat right. These are the visits where we rebuild or reshape a tooth so it works and looks the way it should.

Crowns and bridges restore chewing. Veneers and bonding change appearance. We will tell you plainly which you need, and when the answer is that nothing needs doing.

What to expect

  1. A consultation to look at the tooth and talk through the options.
  2. Preparation of the tooth and an impression or scan.
  3. Fitting of the finished crown, bridge or veneer, usually at a second visit.

Cost and insurance

Restorative work such as crowns is often partly covered; purely cosmetic work usually is not. We will tell you which applies before you decide.

Common questions

What is the difference between restorative and cosmetic?

Restorative work fixes a tooth that is broken, worn or decayed. Cosmetic work changes how a healthy tooth looks. Many treatments do both.

How long does a crown take?

Usually two visits about two weeks apart, with a temporary crown in between.
